FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Whether you're new to therapy or have experience, you might have some questions about my services.

To help you get a better idea of what it's like to work with me, I've compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If your question isn't listed, feel free to get in touch with me.

  • Individual sessions are $200 for a 50-minute appointment.

  • I do not accept health insurance.

However, if your insurance covers out-of-network providers (typically PPO insurance plans), they may reimburse you for a portion of my fee. You can contact your insurance provider to determine the reimbursement rates under your plan.

  • Online therapy offers the convenience of meeting from wherever you are most comfortable, without the commute. Whether you're at home, the office, or any private space with a good internet connection, sessions are conducted via secure HIPAA-compliant video conferencing. Available for residents in Florida, this form of therapy is suitable for addressing most issues and increases accessibility.

Distance counseling is not appropriate for everyone. Those who are in severe crisis, or who are actively contemplating suicide would not be best helped by distance counseling and should seek a therapist locally. If these concerns ever arise during the course of our work, we will have an emergency plan in place to connect you with local resources.

  • While I am physically located in the Miami, FL area, I currently do not see clients in person. This may change in the future, so please ask or let me know if you prefer in-person sessions.

  • We'll begin our first session by reviewing some important information from your initial paperwork, including confidentiality and policies, and addressing any questions you might have. After that, we’ll dive into discussing the issues that brought you to therapy. The first appointment is more of a casual conversation where I get to know you and understand where you feel stuck. I will ask a lot of questions and might introduce some new practices right from the start if you're comfortable with it.

This session is as much an opportunity for you to get a sense of what working with me will be like as it is for me to understand your needs.

I encourage you to view the first several sessions of therapy as a trial period to see if it feels right for you. If it doesn't seem like the right fit, I will happily provide referrals to other providers.

  • GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE INFORMATION:
